RASPBERRIES!!

Looks like the raspberries are starting. Very exciting! We have some wonderful canes that a friend, a former raspberry grower, gave us. It took 3 years before they were producing well but they have more than made up for it. The fruit of this variety is very large as you can see. That is my 'ladies - large' hand in there.

The raspberries are the large bushy hedge you see in all our garden photos. One of these days they will be moved to become part of the 'perennial fruit border' around the edges of the main garden. The plan for the border includes strawberries, rhubarb and raspberries. We may choose to add other varieties, like gooseberries and maybe blueberries, later.
